NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Kill it with FIRE! Quick Before it spreads!

This misinformation on 7.62 NATO pressure has been around forever and it really is tiring. It is 50,000 CUP! not PSI!

...that translates to 60,000ish PSI.

7.62 NATO and .308 Win ARE PRACTICALLY THE SAME FREAKING ROUND!

Plus NATO guns are designed to take a 140% proof charge with zero breakage. So 70,000 CUP.

So even if the 50k number was PSI they'd be safe with the 62,000 limit for SAAMI .308, which is the absolute max limit for commercial ammo.

If you look carefully, ever mil-spec rifle with a ammo related kaboom is a reloading mistake or bad surplus ammo, which should have been NATO spec to begin with.

There are a lot of fine old Ishapore Enfields out there chambered in 7.62. Be kind to them. Keep the pressures at NATO specs, and mind your headspace if you are a reloader.

Thanks for the reminder.
