What Do LAPD Officers Want To Hide?

Los Angeles police officers removed antennas from police cars in several predominantly Black neighborhoods to disable the recording equipment and avoid being monitored while on duty, according to an inspection by LAPD investigators.
The department review found about half of the 80 cars in the Southeast division—which includes Watts and the Jordan Downs and Nickerson Gardens housing projects—were missing the antennas that help capture what officers say in the field. The review discovered at least 10 more cars in nearby divisions also had antennas removed.
Now why would they possibly do that?  We all know the LAPD are completely honest.  Right?

Nothing like this would ever happen, right?
Eight Los Angeles police officers who opened fire on a mother and daughter delivering newspapers during the manhunt for a rogue ex-officer violated the department’s policy of using deadly force, officials said.
Trust the gov't. They're there to help.

A buddy of mine works in the LAPD Communications Department as a radio tech, and he tells me they're constantly replacing antennas that were either "Broken", or "Stolen".
