Negligent Discharge at Bloomington, IL Gun Show

Info is still coming in but reports are two people were injured when a Mini-14 discharged.

Whether the rifle was left loaded by the dealer or by an attendee is currently unknown.

Some video on YouTube a minute after the shot was fired. One guy had a through and through to the chest. Another hit in the shoulder. Drove by the sale barn today and it is just as busy as yesterday. Reasonable people are seeing this as an accident.

I am surprised a loaded gun was out on a display table, not as surprised by the negligent handling that led to the accident. It always amazes me that many people at gun shows seem to forget everything about safe firearm handling and assume a gun is "safe" by virtue of some magic inherent in the weapon being at a show. Very sad and I hope the injured recover and the negligent handler learns or finds a different hobby.
