That was a .45 acp finish shot, using 230 gr. hollow point at about 15 ft. Did make a very large exit hole. My daughter actually shot that one using a .223 Hornady. It was still twitching too much for comfort.
It was a Magtech, I think, factory load. I also think I hit a point that was critical, and the skull basically disintegrated. Lucky shot more than skill. It may have also been the Winchester, but I think Magtech, I had 2 mags, with 5 in each mag. Different make in each mag..
AM in the process of contacting some folks we know in Texas. Relatives of wife. have no damn clue if they even hunt! But I want to go hog hunting. As does my son. We are hoping for a road trip soon.. Be a long drive from Minnesota (no I ain't gettin on any damn airplane!) But dammit it intrigues me!!
