John Rosenthal: New Post, Old Lies

This is just truly sad.  In some bizarre loopy 'logic' Johnny tries to equate the Boston bombing to the failure of anti-gun bills in the Senate.
As the investigation of the Boston Marathon bombings unfolds, many of these same politicians, who continually vote against common sense gun violence prevention laws, are now criticizing the FBI and BATF for not sharing information.
Yeah, no political opportunism there.  Then it keeps getting pathetic w/ 20+ year old nonsense and long debunked meme's.
It is estimated that 40 percent of guns sold each year in the U.S. are sold by private dealers with no legal background check requirement or detection.
If you believe a 20yr old 'poll' of about 250 people.
Military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines containing more than 10 rounds were banned under the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Act.
Anyone w/ a glimmer of education (or honesty) on the topic knows this is complete BS.
Large capacity ammunition magazines can hold 30, 50 or even 100 rounds, enabling shooters to kill large numbers of people without having to reload.
Then some of the examples include VT and Ft. Hood where 'large capacity ammunition magazines were NOT used
The gun industry has continually designed and marketed firearms that are aimed at criminal use.
Uh, no.
1). The media made up the term 'cop killer bullets' to scare people
2) Even the ATF called BS on this one.
3) Resistant to corrosion
4) Flat out lie.
"There's some military brochures that we had early on that showed that you could damage aircraft on a runway or Scud missiles and things like that," says Barrett. "Yes, you could if you have a parked target."

But not in the air? "That's correct," says Barrett.
So BS to defend BS.  I mean how sad is it when your own link debunks your talking points?
President Bush signed into law the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a bill that prohibits victims of the gun industry's negligent practices from filing lawsuits in America's courts.
Of course in Johnny's world even owning a firearm is a 'negligent practice'.  So again BS.

This is a good example of why the 'old school' gun control advocate groups like the Brady Campaign and VPC are pretty much irrelevant today, they're still partying like it's 1989 and few have the capabilities to factcheck their BS. While the truly ignorant might believe them, anyone who can type the g..o..o..g..l..e can find out that Johnny's not telling them the truth.
