It's time to end the bloodshed and restore common sense to our gun laws -- beginning with a permanent ban on high-capacity gun magazines.Yep. Two people who considered the DC and Chicago gun bans to be 'common sense' and Ms. 'Shoulder thing that goes up' supporting it says it all.
Then there's this gem:
These deadly devices are the weapon of choice for the deranged.Does that include the police, who are exempted from said bill?

What I like is Lautenberg saying that, "The only reason to have 33 bullets loaded in a handgun is to kill a lot of people very quickly," while both his and McCarthy's bills exempt retired law enforcement:
(C) the possession, by an individual who is retired from service with a law enforcement agency and is not otherwise prohibited from receiving ammunition, of a large capacity ammunition feeding device transferred to the individual by the agency upon that retirement
A retired "Only One" is never too old to need to kill a lot of people very quickly," I guess.
If you are using a magazine as a weapon, you are doing something wrong.
At least they used the right words this time...
"It's time to end the bloodshed..."
Since large magazines are only rarely used in crimes, how is banning them going to "end" anything?
"...and restore common sense to our gun laws..."
How can government oppression be construed as "common sense"? America is supposed to be about freedom, not prohibition.
These people sound like delusional zealots who believe their own fund-raising rhetoric.
