Degrees of Separation....From Reality

Bryan Miller, the one and only member of CeaseFire New Jersey, again trots out the tragedy of the murder of his brother to try and ban guns. Funny since we all saw how little sympathy he had for the murder of Melanie Hain. Guess it's OK when it's a firearm advocate. They deserve it, right?

Anyway, in the article he states this:
As a survivor of gun violence....I’ve learned that such horrific events have a shocking and debilitating effect on families, neighbors, communities and whole towns and cities.
That's right. His brother was killed so BRYAN is a 'survivor' of gun violence.

He has maintained his 'victim' mentality for so long he's no longer living in the world the rest of us inhabit. Seems to be pretty common for gun control advocates.

My idiot younger brother shot himself in the leg (working as an unarmed security guard) -- excuse me, was assaulted by an unknown assailant that never appeared on any of the security cameras 20 years ago.

Does that make me a survivor of gun violence also?

Ms. Hupp on the other hand really is a survivor of gun violence -- shouldn't her words could more then?

Says Bryan Miller:

As a survivor of gun violence....I’ve learned that such horrific events have a shocking and debilitating effect on families, neighbors, communities and whole towns and cities.

Is he saying that a "whole town" was "debiltat[ed]" by his brother's murder?

And of course like all the blood-dancers they will use their victim hood #1 to procure a meal ticket, and #2. To Advocate laws that have no relevance to their personal story they just told.

Colin Goddard: I was shot while hiding under my desk in a gun-free zone by legally owned guns with limited capacity magazines...so we need to close the "Gun Show Loophole"!

Bryan Miller: My Brother was shot by a criminal with a handgun in a city that has banned all handguns. We need to ban Assault Rifles, and have background checks for everybody!

Joan Peterson: My sister was shot by my Brother In Law who was under legal investigation, a restraining order, and had used his money and friends in the police to cover up his criminal deeds. Obviously we need to ban "High Capacity Clips" and close the gun show loophole!

Sarah Brady: My husband was shot with a 6-shot revolver that was legally bought from a pawn shop. We obviously need to have a centralized background check system, and ban high-capacity rifles!

I'm sure there are more. The obvious MO is for us to have pity of them because they have blood on their shoes, and not question the rationality of their statements.

Instead I see it as simply abusing a tragedy and disrespecting all the good people who have been victimized.
