Chicago’s rising homicide rate spiked on Tuesday with a murder-suicide that left three people dead and three more bodies found in a car.Just like the UK did. Now they can artificially reduce the numbers they announce and be even farther out of sync w/ the FBI UCR.
Police Supt. Jody Weis knows that he will ultimately find himself on the hotseat for the surge. But, he’s got a new defense.
He's creating a new category of "indoor" homicides — and downplaying what police can do about them..
Not only is Weis making the distinction between indoor and outdoor homicides. He has asked the Chicago Police Department to keep those statistics in separate categories.
This is what Gov't officials do instead of something.

That's brilliant, Jody.
I wonder if he thinks the crime of "indoor murder" should be punished less severely than that nasty ol' outdoor type.
Lemme see if I got the logic...
So if people in Chicago want to be as safe as they can, they should stay outdoors on the streets were the cops can prevent their murder?
sad
Wouldn't a chicago database on outdoor shootings help prove the need for CCW in illinois as opposed to Chicagoans' demanding pistols for in house defense? AKA McDonald v Chicago handgun ban.....
No, Kaveman, staying outside won't save you. It just means the Weis/Daley comedy hour will admit that you were murdered.
Probably.
DC makes a distinction between outdoor sales of illegal drugs and indoor sales, and prostitutes that solicit outdoors versus prostitution that is arranged not-outdoors (i.e. by email, phone, or just inside) and occurs inside.
Likewise, it does make sense to have a distinction for murder indoors in a private non-business place. I would lump together outdoor murder and murders in malls and other public venues.
