Most of his numbers and facts are already obsolete. It's a last ditch grab at relevancy when absolutely no-one is paying attention to them. He brags about 'victories' from over 15 years ago and in a couple of states while ignoring the steady stream of court losses (or claiming them as victories) and the unending stream of failures that they have seen in state and local legislatures across the nation.

Sad is about the nicest thing I can say about it.

Wow price drop on the hard cover edition already!

Look at the endorsements / reviews. It's like a carebears self admiration society! Huff, Patterson, Sarah, McCarthy! The whole gang. I hope no one was drinking coffee near their keyboards while checking out the book link.

UGH!
#1, I'm attempting to wake up at too early in the morning.
#2, I'm now trying to keep breakfast down where it belongs.
You are mean and cruel for posting this so early in the AM.

"Indeed, the author contends that the gun lobby’s remarkable success in blocking passage of lifesaving gun laws is the result, in large part, of its relentless and effective use of these simple and resonant messages."

"Lifesaving gun laws"

Like DC's gun ban?- Nope
Like Chicago's gun ban?- Nope.
'94 AWB?- Nope.
Gun Free Zones?- Nope.

I heard that the price drop was because the book was released with typographical errors....the words "of", "the", and "people" were erroneously omitted.

"Henigan coauthored Guns and the Constitution: The Myth of Second Amendment Protection for Firearms in America (Aletheia Press, 1995)."

Myth? Is he still in denial? Is there any reason to believe that his upcoming book won't be as wrongheaded and mistaken as his last one?
