The NC law is written in such a way as to imply that you can shoot someone as they're breaking or entering but you can't shoot them after they're in the residence except under specific conditions. Freaking insane.
The second sentence of the first paragraph threw me off, before I saw the punchline below.
It's a good bill, even before the campus carry amendment was added. I think it will face a tougher fight in the senate (and I wouldn't be surprised if they try to amend the campus carry provision out of the bill there), and it's hard to know what Gov. Nixon will do.
