As they sponsor legislation cutting off all federal student aid to universities who don't take measures to combat music/movie downloading.
So much for the Dumbocrat leadership caring about the education of youth.

Once upon a time I was really into the copyright issue. But geek culture was about making a lot of noise, and not really accomplishing anything.
One thing I don't get is why Republicans haven't realized they have nothing gain from catering to the copyright constituency. There's an opportunity to enlarge the tent that they are missing.
But geeks are less politically powerful than gun owners, strangely enough because I think gun owners are more inclined to spend money to let other groups represent their interests, whereas geeks believe the power of their logic is persuasive enough.
It's not, and thus they keep losing. No one is really organizing people around the copyright issue, and I'm not sure any of those folks really want to be lead.
