Following That Joyce Gun Control Money

It's been awhile since I last looked at the Joyce Foundation grant money lists, mostly because they pulled their lists for several years offline because we were showing how little public support gun control has and that most of it comes from elites like the Joyces, Soros, and Bloomberg. 

Well some of it's back up and the numbers are just as interesting as before. 

Josh Sugarmann and the VPC seem to be weening themselves off the Joyce teat, only receiving about 30% of their total money from them ($250K), which almost covers Josh's and Kirsten Rand's salaries ( $150k ea.)

The 'New Venture Fund' has seen their monies go from about $450K to over $1m/year under various grants.  The NVF seems to be a hub for money distribution to other sources.  Gotta keep as much of it hidden as they can.  

The Chicago Mayor's office has gotten $150K/year for the last several years to push gun control along w/ another $250K to the ICHV.

Harvard has gotten about $500K for the last few years.

the CSGV's 'Educational Fund' $150K and Bloomie's Everytown $350K and the WI 'WAVE over $300k/year.

Overall nearly $5.5 million dollars being dumped into gun control efforts every year just by the Joyce Foundation alone. So while the accusations that the NRA are just 'gun lobby' whores abound, the fact remains that anti-gun activism is paid for almost exclusively by a few rich philanthropists w/ their own private armed security.

Another 'Everytown' FB Hoax or Damage Control?

So after Bloomie realized they hadn't secured the FB domain names for his stupidly named group, pro-2A ones popped up all over the place.  Bloomie sicked his lawyers on the main one, forcing them to shut down but they came back up later.  Unconfirmed reports are they're going after regional ones now.  

A new 'official' one came online under the name 'Everytownforgunsafety.org' which quickly became a progun stomping ground.  Now the MAIG 'Demand Action' page has been transformed into an 'Everytown' page but still has the 'Demand Action' header and this is the one the 'everytown.org' website links to. The everytownforgunsafety.org website redirects back to the Everytown.org webpage.

So is the .org page another spoof?  If so, why hasn't Bloomie shut it down?  If it isn't, have they realized the name has already become toxic so they're shying away from it?  Did they set it up as a red herring to distract gunnies from the real anti-pages?

Inquiring minds want to know.

The main webpage now links to 'EverytownUSA' on FB, a partial renaming of their 'Demand Action' site. The comments are typical of an anti-gun site.  Insults, character attacks, bigotry and calls to ban guns. 

BLoomberg Mayors List Back Up

They've apparently switched all their works over to the new 'Everytown' name and they've put up a scrolling list of 'Coalition Members' which was taken down several months ago.  No links or names like they used to have, only the cities, but it's not hard to Google the cities to find out who's in charge.  Here's the screencapped IL list:

They've also changed their wording to "a bipartisan group of more than 1,000 current and former mayors" since so many of their 'members' have lost elections.  Much nicer to show that made up number than the decreasing one.

Like Cockroaches in the Light

So are the mayors of Bloomberg.

A while back, the Joyce Foundation removed their lists of grant money to anti-gun groups when a spotlight was shown how they were bankrolling that lobby almost exclusively. 

Now, via David Codrea's Examiner,  The list of members of Bloomberg's criminal 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns' has gone down the memory hole. 

This is entirely unsurprising and has likely been in the works for awhile.  They used to proudly list the pictures, names and contact info of their members.  That is until the members started getting regularly arrested/convicted of multiple crimes and the names of former (or sometimes even dead) mayors were being used in official documents. The latest update for Illinois didn't include links to the cities and many of the names were inaccurate.

Just like the cockroaches they are, when the light is shown on them, they run and hide.  If they have so much 'grassroots' support for their cause why then are their members regularly receiving bombardments of calls opposing Bloomberg's nanny-state goals?

MAIG Faking More Members?

A few months ago, a bunch of new 'members' showed up under IL on the 'Mayors Against Guns' website.  Unlike previous ones, these weren't hyperlinked to the cities' own sites.  Looking them over, many of them seem suspicious., the names listed don't match up w/ the mayors/etc. that the townships claim:

For example:  Lake Zurich, IL.  Their website lists Mayor Tom Poynton but MAIG has it down as "
Village President Suzanne Brandint".  

MAIG actually has TWO 'Lagrange Park', IL's listed. Village President Julia Cedillo and
Village President James L. Discipio.  The Lagrange website lists Discipio.  

Hampshire, IL.  MAIG has listed 'Village President Doug Maxninck' but the city site has it as '
Jeffrey Magnussen'.

These are just the examples I've been able to check out so far.  So are all these townships wrong on their sites, or is MAIG playing fast and loose w/ the truth to artificially inflate their numbers.  Seeing the trend in anti-rights activism lately, I know where I would put my money.

But Bloomberg spokesman Marc LaVorgna said only a dozen NRA backers had called to complain.
“Every conversation I’ve had with a caller has gone the same way: They read the line the NRA asks them to read, then I tell them we support background checks on all gun sales — then they say they support that, too,” LaVorgna said.

Somehow I doubt that.  Did he happen to mention his group wants to ban most semi-autos?  Force all sales to go through FFL's which Bloomberg is also trying to sue out of existence?  That his 'background checks' also include a defacto registry, the same kind of registry NYC is using to confiscate guns they declared 'illegal'? No? Didn't mention any of that? Didn't think so.

DUI, damage to property, yelling racial slurs. A history of assault and criminal activities.

Pretty typical.

Bloomberg Intruding On IL Politics?

Inconthievable.

It would be completely unprecedented for them to use tax dollars to pay for employees that push gun control.

More Correlations To MAIG and Violence

A few weeks ago, an anti-gun group posted a list of 'violent cities' to show that there needs to be more gun control.  There was a stronger correlation to Democrat control and MAIG membership than there was to firearm laws.

Well the CSGV put out a list of 'mass shootings' last weekend.  Mostly committed by gang members and prohibited persons. Just a cursory look shows again it's more dangerous to live in cities w/ mayors who follow Bloomberg's group.

PAGV tried to dodge the fact they don't understand statistics w/ more statistics and claims they didn't make any claims except that 90% of their advocacy is to restrict firearms.  Just for fun, here's their list of 'violent cities' w/ a different variables added in.
