Teleprompter in Chief Strikes Again

So some planted question at a town hall allows Bummer to throw out a really badly thought out meme attempt:

“As long as you can go in some neighborhoods and it is easier for you to buy a firearm than it is for you to buy a book, there are neighborhoods where it is easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable, as long as that’s the case, we’re going to continue to see unnecessary violence,”

I guess the whole "More regulated than Teddy Bears' trope has lost its flavor. Seriously, did Biden get put in charge of the teleprompter?   He does stick w/ some of the classics though:

“Our homicide rates are so much higher than other industrialized countries,” he added, and blamed the accessibility to guns for that.

And then he gets to throw out the strawmen about firearm advocates:

“In some places it goes the opposite direction. People say we should have firearms in kindergarten and have machine guns in bars. You think I’m exaggerating,” Obama said.

This isn't exaggerating, this is lying and the only reason he's doing it is to try and pander to his low information base. 

This is, as one commenter put it, the same President that made guns more accessible to Narco-terrorists by shipping thousands of them to Mexico.

Major Presidential Announcement?  Won't do it because it's sweeps week (or something).

The administration said today that Obama will be speaking live from the White House at 8 PM ET on Thursday. But ABC has the fall finale for Grey’s Anatomy on at that time, while CBS has ratings powerhouse The Big Bang Theory, NBC has reality show The Biggest Loser and Fox has Bones. As of right now, none plans changes to their regularly scheduled Thursday night November sweep schedules for the approximately 15-minute speech.

It's more important to keep the sheeple entertained than educated.

The Stupidity of the American Voter

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that.  In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”

This is the contempt that the current administration has for the political process and US citizens.

Equality='Racism'?

That's the message being pushed by the DOJ and Dept of UnEducation.  Rules can't be applied evenly because 'minority' children are 'disproportionately effected'.  I'm not kidding:

“Schools ... violate Federal law when they evenhandedly implement facially neutral policies and practices that, although not adopted with the intent to discriminate, nonetheless have an unjustified effect of discriminating against students on the basis of race," read the letter. "Examples of policies that can raise disparate impact concerns include policies that impose mandatory suspension, expulsion, or citation (e.g., ticketing or other fines or summonses) upon any student who commits a specified offense — such as being tardy to class, being in possession of a cellular phone, being found insubordinate, acting out, or not wearing the proper school uniform.”

So it's apparently official Obama Administration policy that 'minorities' offend more, are less capable of following established rules, and need to be given special privileges? 

Any wonder why the Chicago Public School system was such a disaster? And this is the same DOJ that refused to prosecute voter intimidation by violent criminals.

I Expect Their Usual Turnout

Obama's perpetual campaign, OFA, has Aug 21st as their 'Day of Action' on gun control (note nothing on Jobs or the Economy) . In IL, they have 'rallies' planned in Springfield and Chicago.

Various anti-gun groups have tried this before. The turnouts have been.....less than stellar for them.

Basically they're using Obama's big money to push his political agenda in the face of lagging support.  Take a look and see what's going on in your state.

Africa, we're all gonna have ta work together, to find ways in which collectively we reduce carbon, but we make sure that there's some differentiation's so that country's that are very wealthy, uh, are expected t'do more and country's that are still developing, you know obviously they shouldn't be resigned to poverty simply because uh, ya know, the west and Europe and, and America got there first. That wouldn't be fair, but everybody's gonna have ta do something. Everybody's gonna have ta make some important choices here and ya know, I expect that it's gonna be your generation that helps lead this, because if we don't, it's gonna be your generation that suffers the most. Um, ultimately if you think about all the youth that everybody's mentioned here in Africa if everybody's raising living standards to the point where everybody's got a car and everybody's got air conditioning and everybody's got a big house, uh, well the planet will boil over. Unless we find new ways of producing energy.

I'm guessing the teleprompters weren't working right.  This is coming from the guy that is spending $100m to take his extended family on an 'Embarass the US' vacation tour w/ multiple (air conditioned ) aircraft, dozens of gas guzzling cars, and hundreds of people that will stay in big houses and hotels.  All the while he's doing everything he can spend to reduce energy production in the US.

What's Good For The Goose

Apparently the idea that 'Gun Free Zones' should be good enough for politicians who promote them (while at the same time having retinues of taxpayer funded armed guards) is spreading.

A petition to the White House calls for the elimination of the Secret Service in favor of laws banning firearms around the President, VP and their families.

I'm betting Zero and Biden will react in the same way as Mayor Bloomie to losing their beloved security especially since O just signed a bill giving himself lifetime security.

White House War On Garands

Obama blocked the import of M1 carbines from Korea.

NY banned magazines over 7 rnds (which includes Garands at 8 rnds)

Here's the WH statement on their contempt for older firearms:

 Eliminate restrictions that force the ATF to authorize importation of dangerous
weapons simply because of their age: ATF is required to authorize the importation of
certain “curio or relic” firearms, and outdated regulations include all firearms manufactured more than 50 years ago in the definition of “curio or relic.” But today, firearms manufactured more than 50 years ago include large numbers of semiautomatic military-surplus rifles, some of which are easily convertible into machine guns or otherwise appealing for use in crime. Congress should get rid of restrictions that prevent ATF from changing this definition, enabling ATF to ensure that firearms imported as curios or relics are actually of interest as collectibles, rather than letting these rules be used as a way to acquire fully functional and powerful military weapons.

 So according to Obama, WWII is no longer of any 'interest'.  Guess there's not enough vets left to make a voting block.

They don't just want to ban AR's like Durbin claimed. They're after ALL semi-autos (and all guns in general) and will make up whatever nonsense they can.  Garands 'easily convertible' and 'appealing for use in crime'?  Seriously?  When was the last time a store was robbed by a WWII re-enactor?

Old weapons will be banned.  New weapons will be banned. Big weapons will be banned. Small weapons will be banned.  And then we'll have laws (and crime) just like Mexico.

 This post is utterly ridiculous, so is the owner for putting up that sign. So if black people or Jews don't buy from his shop it's ok to post a sign up because it doesn't hurt business or actually helps business. It's ignorant and none of his business.

 So choosing a political affiliation is akin to race, creed or color?  If you choose (note that word) to vote for a person who has spent most of his political career opposing a civil right and trying to put people out of business, you shouldn't even attempt to buy the products that are sold there.

Not that any of that matters.  Any opposition to the Lightbringer is 'raaaaaccciiiiiissssttttt'.

So talking about 'gang bangers' is specifically referring to inner city minority kids. I'm sure since their messiah is using the expression though, it means something different as words change meanings depending on what political party you belong to.
