Brady Campaign endorsed State Rep Carol Sente, who replaced anti-gun fanatic Ryg (who we highlighted for her deliberately misrepresenting laws and guns here) continues the tradition of her predecessor with this ad:

Uncle did a piece on this a few days ago but several more instances have popped up since then that reiterate that No, the leadership of the Gun Ban Lobby (Brady Campaign, VPC, MAIG, etc) CANNOT be reasoned with or dealt w/ in any civilized manner.

So when they say they just want 'reasonable, common-sense' gun control, to open 'dialogs', and reach 'compromises', remember to take a look at what they say out the other side of their mouths while endorsing politicians who call for bans on guns and the elimination of due process.

So again. There cannot be a resolution between the two sides. They have proven that again and again.

Bush/Obama, Compare and Contrast

Bush on the 'Assault Weapon' Ban:

By stating his support for the extension, Bush appeases gun-control supporters. By essentially leaving it up to Congress, where it will likely die, he avoids jeopardizing his support among gun-rights advocates.

Obama on Don't Ask Don't Tell:

President Barack Obama says he supports repeal of the policy, but only after careful review and an act of Congress.

Yeah. Then it'll be all Congress's fault. Does anyone have any doubts why the administration is delaying this until after Nov.?

IL Gov. Quinn Releases MORE Felons

Turns out Gov. Quinn didn't completely shut down the early release of violent felons from prison. Turns out he lied about it.

more than 2,000 felons have been released in the past three months, even though Quinn recently released a television ad that references early release and says he "took action and shut it down" and adds he "stopped it cold."...

That prompted a review of Corrections Department disclosures, which revealed that prisoners are being released almost daily under the discretionary early release program known as MGT or Meritorious Good Time.

And remember, he's endorsed by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership who just want to reduce gun crime.

Zeroing Suckage

Took the AR out to zero in the new scope. The disparity between the the rifle and scope was so large in both dimensions that it wasn't even on the target board, nevermind the zeroing target. I switched to two, side-by-side man sized targets and it still took me several boxes of ammo even to get it onto one target reliably.

Then the scope would adjust vertically any farther so I had to physically readjust the mounting, mechanically zero the scope Vert. and start over again.

FINALLY got it into the center of the target and then switched to the zeroing target and was able to get it to about 1 MOA regularly.

Then I took my frustrations out on some innocent hedge apples.

I'm no super sniper shooter but this was ridiculous.

I do believe it's time to invest in a laser zeroing system.

Disenfrachising the Military

Dozens of counties across the US are in violation of the MOVE act, put into place due to locals not counting or sending out absentee ballots to the military. Apparently that didn't change things.

Several New York counties including the five boroughs of New York City were found to be in violation of the deadline after the state was permitted by the Defense Department to move its deadline to Oct. 1 because the state's primary day was four days before the deadline.

The Justice Department settled a case with New Mexico Tuesday where six counties failed to mail ballots by the deadline.

And now in Illinois:

I can report that Illinois has at least 25 counties which failed to mail military ballots in compliance with federal law.

We all know that had something like this occurred two years ago, the MSM would be screaming 'VOTER FRAUD' and demanding heads.

Where are they now? I guess it's just not news that's fit to print.

And again, since I choose to differ radically from mass media products, that makes me a 'domestic extremist'.
