Our View: Gun law leaves prosecutors vulnerable

County prosecutors, who try to send violent people to prison for a living, can’t carry a handgun anytime they are on the work clock.

That's the point of all 'gun control', to keep as many people as possible (except actual criminals) disarmed and vulnerable. The poor and minorities are especially effected by laws like discriminatory licensing (aka may issue), 'safe storage' laws, bans on non-politically correct guns, expensive licensing/registration/training requirements, etc.

Then, when they are victimized, if the criminal had a gun, they can call for MORE 'gun control' to make even more people vulnerable.

Doesn't that make you just feel all squishy inside?

There's Always 'Evidence'

Ladd Everitt, Comm. Dir. of the CSGV likes to obfuscate, lie and deny things that make them look bad. He doesn't do it very well. Looking back on the days when he was outed as sockpuppet 'GritsJr' for another post (since deleted, now using 'BayBeauty###), I saw this comment(pg 2 a little over halfway down):

Even belying the fact that the CSGV/EFSGV filed briefs in support of DC's handgun ban, taking a little trip in the 'WayBackMachine' shows Ladd is either ignorant and/or a liar about his own organization.
This 'crawl' was in 2004. The next available one was in 2008, post Heller, where it was changed. Well w/in the '20 years' claimed by Ladd.Get that '100K individual supporters' line. They've always deluded themselves that they've had more support than what exists in reality.

Just one more piece of evidence that gun controllers, especially their leadership, lie. They lie about the present and they will lie about the past (including complete reconstructions of events) in order to present 'goodfacts'. Whether they believe their own lies is a matter of debate. Many of them have shown signs of mental illness in their denial of facts and evidence.

Either way, dishonesty and ignorance is their bread and butter. They cannot survive in an environment of open discussion and evidence. I aim to see them buried in the political/cultural landfill along w/ segregation, social darwinism and phrenology.

Guns For Me But Not For Thee PT II

Some people have derided the 'Only Ones' posts as being disrespectful and demeaning to law enforcement. Unfortunately, there's a vocal subset of the police that earn the scorn:

SACRAMENTO -- A statewide lobbying group for police officers said Thursday it will pursue legislation next year that would allow officers to keep assault weapons after they retire, seeking to overturn an opinion issued last year by the state attorney general's office.

That is an action of a group that sees themselves as better than you, an elite class that should be exempt from the laws that govern the unwashed masses. So much for being a nation of laws and not of men.

Will the Brady Campaign, VPC, CSGV or MAIG publicly oppose this measure? All support the banning of 'assault weapons' for civilians since they claim the ONLY purpose in owning one is to kill as many people as possible. I doubt it.

Guns For Me But Not For Thee

Mobile, AL Mayor Sam Jones, as a member of MAIG, wants to do everything he can to limit your ability to protect yourself and make firearm ownership as difficult as possible. But it's certainly OK for him to own and use one:

I wonder how many rounds that .38 held? Was it an 'assault clip'?

Just like NYC Mayor Bloomberg and former Chicago Mayor Daley and current Emmanual who have armed contigents 24/7, they're all hypocrites.

'Vigilante Justice'?

The interns at the Brady Campaign tweeted a link to Baldr calling most CCW holders wannabe 'Wyatt Earps' (even though Baldr faced liar is now denying those words) and 'vigilante's'. Here's the example Baldr uses of 'vigilantism':

Here's one recent example where a man witnessed a purse robber, then took matters into his own hands to chase the guy down and then shoot him dead. Is the robbery of a purse from an old woman worth killing someone over? Is this sort of vigilante justice what we want in America?

Now this poor 'purse robber' we've talked about before. He didn't just 'rob' her, he violently assaulted her and then drew on the CCW holder.

So again, gun control advocates don't really care about reducing violent crime, they just care about people owning scary guns.

A SockPuppet By Any Other Name

Last year, a troll by the name of 'GritsJr' got exposed as a staff member of the CSGV, going around supporting his bosses fluff pieces all over the internet.

Well Grit's profile recently got deleted on Huffpo and a new troll has appeared. Let's see what they have to say:

“That's just the typical anti-gover­nment, insurrecti­onist rhetoric that comes out of the pro-gun movement these days. Ugly and sad at the same time.”

Rants about Madison, Nugent, Lott. Posts almost exclusively on Horwitz' Huffpo blog.
