Staged United To Prevent Gun Ownership

So the Joyce Umbrella Puppet Group SUPGV allegedly set up a 'fake' gun shop in NYC in order to tell 'first time gun buyers' how dangerous guns are by showing them guns allegedly used in crimes.

I highly doubt any of the guns were real nor any of the 'first time gun buyers' especially since a large number of the firearms displayed are illegal in NYC then there's the fact that to transport most of the guns would have been numerous criminal violations as I'm betting that wasn't a real FFL dealer either.

Comments disabled on the Youtube vid of course. Can't have anyone pointing out the lies and fallacies.

Gun Control 'Humor'

The remnants of the Brady Campaign to Ban Guns has apparently hired a high school student w/ a free website template program and MSPaint to make a 'parody' travel website.

CrimAdvisor.com

See now a good 'parody' site is one where you have trouble distinguishing it from a real one, not plastering your banner and sad propaganda all over the page which is what the Brady's High School student did. Nevermind the (intentional?) mis-spelling in the title when 'CrimeAdvisor.com' seems to actually be available.

How accurate is the site?  Well it seems to go by the old Brady grading system which has no correlation to violent crime, just which laws they like/don't like.  I took a look at Illinois and under the stupid 'reviews' they have this "Easy to get a permit to pack heat in public"

Easy?  $400-$500 in costs, 3-6 months waiting for a 'background check' and 16 hrs of training is 'easy'?  Oh right, they mean that the authorities can't arbitrarily discriminate against you under 'may issue'.

I wonder how many light switches they keep turned off to lower their electricity bill.

Chicago Headline Season

So the weather's warming up and the sun is coming out.  Now this type of headline will be present in Chicago every Monday:

5 killed, 24 wounded in weekend gun violence across Chicago

To get a similar headline outside of Chicago, you would have to include the rest of the entire state of Illinois.

Boo F^%king Hoo Illinois

So Universities, unions, public employees, etc are all wailing and gnashing their teeth over IL Gov. Rauner's proposed budged cuts.  State Sen. President Cullerton has dug in his heels and is basically refusing to do anything.  The Springfield/Chicago legislators idea is to raise more taxes and fees to 'fix' the budget collapse.

Screw them.  Decades of overspending and buying votes w/ perks is what has put us into this mess in the first place.  Whenever a cut was proposed, they came out and threatened to cut spending on 'police and schools' which caused the rest of the legislators to cave so they wouldn't lose the propaganda war and keep their seats.  They've been driving businesses and residents out for years and their tax and spend proposals will only continue that.  Most people can barely make ends meet now.  Go ahead and jack up taxes and fees some more. See what happens.

This state is billions in debt w/ nearly the lowest credit rating and they want us to shell out more of OUR money in the idea that we can trust them to spend it wisely? The ONLY thing they'll do is throw it away in more pork and perks while services will continue to decrease. Seriously, anyone who thinks the spenders will do the right thing are acting like naive partisans who have either been ignoring or are blind to what's been going on.

The only possibility of a fix right now is a harsh belt tightening.  Paring down the pork filled useless agencies.  Cutting spending near universally across the state.  Giving businesses a reason to open up in Illinois to increase jobs and revenue.

Not one more dime for them to spend until they can prove they can spend it responsibly. They work for us, not the other way around.

Example of a stereotypical gov't employee.  I worked for a historical site some years ago. Myself and several other employees developed plans to drastically cut costs, maintenance, and make more efficient man hours through partnerships w/ other agencies and by increasing crop production.  I cut a deal w/ IDOT to plow our roads which saved us several days of work since we didn't have the equipment to do the job quickly. The site director nixed the idea. We also spent a few hundred dollars on fertilizer which increased our crops to the point where we were not only self-sufficient in feeding our animals but we had surplus to sell. That in lieu of spending about two thousand plus on feed every year.  You guessed it.  Site director nixed the funding for fertilizer.  The site is at about 25% operation of what it was when I worked there.

I'll Admit...I've Wanted To Do This Too

Frustrated that her three children were spending too much time glued to the television watching music videos, 40-year-old Jennifer Ullery of Illinois allegedly fired multiple shots from a Ruger .22 long rifle into the family’s 50-inch, Panasonic flat screen television.
Except I have a FOID and live in the middle of nowhere so there would be no authorities showing up.

No M855 Ban For Now?

Seems like all the bad press the ATF recieved has caused them to back off the ammo ban attempt for the time being:
In a notice posted Tuesday afternoon, the agency said it “will not at this time seek to issue a final framework” on the proposed ammo ban. ATF took the action even before the end of its public comment period, saying it had received more than 80,000 responses, mostly opposed.
But they're still open to trying later when we're not paying as much attention:
“Although ATF endeavored to create a proposal that reflected a good faith interpretation of the law and balanced the interests of law enforcement, industry, and sportsmen, the vast majority of the comments received to date are critical of the framework, and include issues that deserve further study,” the ATF said.
The agency said after the public comment period closes Friday, it will “further evaluate the issues raised” and provide “additional open and transparent process” before proceeding with any further action. It did not specify what action that might be.
Well that 'action' will be another regulatory attempt to redefine things or an executive order outright banning them.  They will 'further evaluate' how to do it w/o generating as much press or negative reaction so they can slip it by later.

'Prom-munism' Meme

So a HS decided to go really unique and have a Communist themed prom.  I personally find that funny as hell being a teacher,  history buff, and having grown up during the end of the Cold War.

So how will it go?

There will only be one couple on the ballot for Prom King and Queen. Immediately after inauguration, they are executed along w/ their entire family.

20% of the kids show up in Trabants.  The rest have to walk.

The 'Cool' kids wear Ushankas and great-coats. Everyone else wears grey or green fatigues.

There is no food or punch but LOTS of Vodka.

Music is all marches and is only played for 1 hour because that's when the electricity is shut off.

Add your own.

BATFE CYOA

So it seems that the BATFEIEIO got caught w/ their pants down after being called on the fact that they removed the M855 exemption before any 'comment period' so now they've put out a 'Notice of Publishing Error":
Please be advised that ATF has not rescinded any armor piercin g ammunition exemption, and the fact they are not listed in the 2014 online edition of the regulations was an error which has no legal impact on the validity of the exemptions. The existing exemptions for armor piercing ammunition, which apply to 5.56 mm ( .223) SS 109 and M855 projectiles (identified by a green coating on the projectile tip), and the U.S .30 - 06 M2AP projectile (identified by a black coating on the projectile tip), remain in effect....

ATF apologizes for any confusion caused by this publishing error.
Bullsh!t.  There was no 'publishing error'.  They were just hoping noone would actually slog through hundreds of pages of boilerplate and beaurocracieze and notice it missing.

M855 Ammo Already Banned?

According to Townhall, the BATFE-EIEIO removed the exemption of M855 a month before the comment period was even opened:
A review of the timeline:
January 2015: ATF published a new, OMB approved Regulation Guide stripping AR-15 "green-tip" from its armor piercing exemption list.
February 2015: ATF proposes a ban (which they've already put in place through their handbook published in January) on AR-15 "green-tip" ammunition and opens up a comment period.
March 16, 2015: The comment period about the proposed/already implemented ban on AR-15 "green-tip" ammunition closes, ATF ignores tens-of-thousands of comments because they were never going to consider them in the first place, and continues with the regulations outlined in the new 2014 Regulation Guide.
This is not democracy. This isn't even a Representative Republic.  This is ruling by bureaucratic fiat.

So are all the individuals that bought/sold this ammo after Jan now felons?

The ATF needs to have their funding reduced.

Here's the link to the guide.  Pg 190
