One of my ( and millions others) favorite character and actor, Leonard Nimoy, has died.  No temporal rift or genesis Planet will bring him back to us. 

I feel like I'm going to cry.

Chicago Hypothetical

So the British paper 'Guardian' published a piece stating that a place called 'Homan Square' is used for 'CIA like' incarceration, detention, and interrogation.  The CPD of course denies it all. 

Not that there'ld be any precedent of course, but let's use our imagination and pretend each and every one of the allegations is true about the place.

I've been criticized before for referring to anti-gun advocates as 'gun bigots' because they stereotype and dehumanize firearm owners (iow gun-n!ggers).  Yet it keeps going on...

As shown by Mig., an enabling mother of an underage girl w/ an apparent drinking problem projects her own failings as a parent onto all 18-21 yr olds because they're all irresponsible alcoholics who can't be trusted. 

Then there's the CSGV who recommends that you don't even date a firearm owner because they 'might' snap and shoot you.

Apparently the ground is to frozen for many to dig themselves out because Rahmbo and many of his supported Alderthings didn't get swept back into office.

Obama's DHS Wagging The Dog Again

So Obama has been milquetoast on the murders and burnings committed by ISIS/terrorists around the world and the DHS is in danger of losing some funding because O is wanting to make millions of illegal aliens citizens.  Obviously then it's time to go on the attack against 'right wingers' w/ another BS 'report' that's been 'leaked' to select, left-leaning media suck-ups like CNN.

A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.

The propaganda machine is in full swing now.  I haven't been able to find the report yet but I'm sure it will be a hum-dinger to read.  Just like when they labelled military veterans and Bob Barr supporters as Domestic Extremists.

More on Chicago Faking Crime Numbers

The 'official' CPD crime site is still missing lots of information:

CWB has found that the beating and robbery of Emanuel's teenage son on December 19 does not appear anywhere in the Chicago Data Portal—a city-run public web site that is supposed to be so accurate, the Chicago Police Department used its existence as an excuse to stop issuing annual reports to citizens after nearly 50 years.

They're playing the ostrich game and hoping that all the reports of their mishandled crime numbers will all just go away and they can report more Goodfacts about crime dropping by double digits. 

.@SenatorDan Kotowski Doesn't Understand Words

So in the usual 'throwing crap against the wall to see if it sticks' legislation technique of Illinois anti-gun advocacy, they're once again trying to ban '3D Printed Guns'. Well not only does the wording of this bill mean it's pretty much un-enforcable (define 'fully-functional' please) but it has the support of all the right people including State Sen. Dan Kotowski, the same guy who thinks gun owners walk around w/ AR-15's stuffed in their pants and threw a temper tantrum on the floor when his magazine ban failed.

He had this to say about it:

“What this does is bypass the already lack of oversight on gun manufacturers to allow people to make guns in their homes,” Kotowski said. “Which I think presents a great problem especially when you think about criminals and terrorists — people who are a threat to our domestic security and getting access to this type of machinery,”

Let's parse this, shall we?

Assuming 'this' means 3D printing, these are two separate issues he's trying to combine, badly.  Either way, If a person starts getting into the 'business' of manufacturing firearms using 3D tech, either they need to get an FFL or they're in violation of federal laws already. If they're selling to criminals... already a whole slew of laws they're violating.  If they're not, and they make a gun for themselves, all Kotowski wants to do is make a new batch of criminals because he hates guns.

Next is the real winner.

So 'criminals' & 'Terrorists' are getting 3D printers and are a threat to 'national security'. (booga booga).  OK.  Let's run w/ that.  Does Senator Dan honestly think that Akmed the Dead Terrorist who is wanting to crank out 3D printed AK's to kill as many Americans as he can GIVES A FLYING F^^K ABOUT A CLASS "A" MISDEMEANOR!?  Really Dan?  Do you really think that the local gangbangers are going to drop tens of thousands on a 3D printer or that they care about the consequences when they're already violating countless other laws already on the books?

So what gave your thug son the 'right' to threaten people's lives w/ his gun and steal their money?  Maybe, just maybe, if you weren't a bunch of enabling idiots, he wouldn't be in the hospital after committing violent acts.

Not a 'Lie', Just an Ignorant Talking Point

At the hearings for a CHL in Texas, anti-gun mommy Kelly Burke made this claim:

“we do not know, about how, quote, responsible CHL holders are, because that data set is not available and is completely locked down. Any statements about how, quote, responsible and law-abiding CHL holders are is completely anecdotal and therefore conjecture.”

Problem is, as far as Texas is concerned, she's FOS.  Texas CHL stats have been online for years.  I don't think she lied though, she's just ignorant and is repeating the talking points fed to her by other anti-gun fanatics, you know, the evil NRA bought off (federal) politicians to hide the millions of gun deaths each year.

  She has no clue what she's talking about and no experience w/ firearms outside of what she's been fed.  Typical of most anti-gun mouth pieces.
