"Nice [data, blog, photos, videos, etc] you've got there...it'd be a shame if anything happened to it".

They basically own your stuff so if they decide to change things up on you, you're screwed.

I refuse to use Google products (the recent news that they've donated large sums to anti-gun groups is no surprise) so when Google bought blogspot, I bailed.

It was a pain in the butt to move everything, but it was worth the effort and the little bit per month for a paid hosting service. All my photos, videos, posts etc are in one place that gets backed up regularly and can easily be restored somewhere else if my current hosting service gets froggy on me...which is less likely with a paid service because I'm the customer...I'm not the product being sold for advertising.Sailorcurthttp://sailorcurt.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8544914688307073747.post-19748699714464183202017-07-01T19:36:47.324-05:002017-07-01T19:36:47.324-05:00There's a lot of panic going on, but nothing a...There's a lot of panic going on, but nothing announced yet.Angus McThaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09295013525738248801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8544914688307073747.post-33526946303169276202017-06-30T21:16:26.083-05:002017-06-30T21:16:26.083-05:00Angus, Flickr is supposedly going away.Angus, Flickr is supposedly going away.Ratushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02546867391478669489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8544914688307073747.post-89039754656634143432017-06-30T19:36:43.037-05:002017-06-30T19:36:43.037-05:00I've been generally happy with Flickr.
