Ultimate Prepper Fail

(warning:  The levels of stupidity present in this post may result in forehead related damage to your desk/keyboard)

Hey, do you know what's really stupid to do as a 'Prepper'? Why publicly show off all your 'Prepper' gear including guns, ammo and foodstuffs then go on national television and say you're going to go around and take all your neighbors supplies.

National Geographics 'Doomsday Prepper' series is scraping the bottom of the barrel. In next Tuesday's episode, they feature a true failed abortion who things he and his merry band of rejects known as 'Spartan Survival' will be able to walk around w/ their homemade body armor and do what they will.

Some choice quotes:
“We’re not in it to stockpile. We’re in it to take what you have and there’s nothing you can do to stop us,” Tyler Smith says. “We are your worst nightmare, and we are coming.”

Smith keeps some of his supplies on his farm. On Friday, he and the other members hauled out dozens of sealed containers of beans, rice, sugar and pancake mix. He also displayed some of their dozens of 25-pound bags of rice and beans. The group has buried caches of food in the region, the locations of which they keep secret.

Most preppers, Smith says, are concerned with marauders taking their supplies. It’s not an unfounded fear, he says.
“We are those people,” he says. “We’ll kick your door in and take your supplies. … We are the marauders.”

“It will also make me the apex predator in my area, and that’s all that matters,” he says.

But THE absolute BEST is this:
Spartan Survival is not a political group, Smith says. Contrary to expectations, he says he is pro-government and a supporter of President Barack Obama.

What else can I say?  This POS welds together some junk metal and calls it 'body armor', gets a few dozen other dumb@sses to pay him money for his lethal ideas, and makes other people who really care about prepping look bad. He's going to have a tough time staying where he is now once his neighbors get a load of this show.

GSL has their choice words on this wonder of intelligence.

lol you forgot to mention that he's obese, his prepper buddy is his mute cousin, and that he plans on performing his wife's C-section in their barn. Whoever produces this show has a hell of a sense of humor!

I think their ratings are dropping and they're trying to generate some sort of 'controversy' to add viewers.

Hmm I suddenly have the urge to see what xm855 does to ceramic tiles wrapped in fiberglass :)

or maybe 7.62x54r.

I was thinking the same thing.

If I had this guy as a neighbor, and knew he was planning on killing me when TSHTF... I'd be thinking long and hard about pre-emptive self-defense, starting with filing a police report about conspiracy to commit murder, using the TV show as evidence.

Wise idea, Erin One thing he needs to figure out is that he just made himself the "apex" target, as is so eloquently expressed here

What? You doubt the effectiveness of "body armor" made from bathroom tile wrapped in fiberglass and duct tape, and smeared with some kind of black goo?

I bet it'll stop repeated hits from .50 BMG Mk 211 Raufoss rounds at point blank range ;-).

Erin,
In a world with justice and integrity (as opposed to tyranny) in government, he'd be in Gitmo for conspiracy and terroristic threats.
However, since he's a supporter of the Obama regime and thinks like them (steal from others rather than having personal responsibility), he'll get a pass.
