Stupid Is as Stupid Does

Andrew Goddard, father of VT survivor Colin Goddard, president of the VA MMM Chapter, and Board Member of the NG(V)AC) (not to mention religious bigot) shows the world his expertise on firearms.

Yes, because the minute you pick up a '50 cal sniper rifle' you can immediately make pinpoint shots a mile away. Nevermind that most military snipers can't/don't make shots at that range.

They really are this stupid.

If a mile is too far for the victim to see the shooter, how does the shooter see the victim?

Kurt, you should know by now, that firearms not only make anyone in the vicinity of one a murderous, raging criminal, they also impart super powers onto their holder. At least that's what I get out of any article I am unfortunate enough to read put out by VPC, Brady Bunch, CSGV, NAGV.

Point taken. How silly of me.

But also remember a firearm is so useless that a criminal will just take it away from you.

Just shows most of Andrews expert firearms research studies were conducted while munching on a tub of buttered popcorn and sitting near an isle.

Well, I could shoot that far if someone purchased the 50 cal Sniper rifle, and a spotting scope with a spotter, and lots of ammunition to zero and practice with, and build me a range where I could shoot in safety.

Of course, there are snipers out there, and a firearms industry that will support their best efforts, probably more than there are anti-gun folks that know anything about firearms and shooting. And writers that know anything on the internet - just like me, so few.

Just a continuation of the "Guns Make It Too Easy..." Meme.

What's hilarious is that its made so "easy" that its never really happened.

What's sad is He'll point to mass shootings made possible (and first attempted because of) Brady-endorsed "Gun Free Zones"...but any mass stabbings, mufti-victim arson, the jerks who plow their SUVs into crowds intentionally, or use of explosives are ignored because people this sick only care about "Gun Death" victims.

The other people murdered can go to hell for all they care!

Huh.

So to "stand your ground" in the face of an imminent "reasonable man" threat to your life can be done from a mile away?

Unless the other shooter has a .50 BMG trained on you, that's a lot more like what courts call "murder".

If he's going to use terms like that, he doesn't get to redefine them.

In his defense, he doesn't mention anybody shooting a rifle.

Generally, I find ignoring people a mile away that are ignoring me to be perfectly civilized. Seems like he is demanding a permanent restraining order barring criminals released from jail from coming within one mile of law-abiding citizens. Pretty racist, Andrew.
