@CSGV's Double Standards

Michael K. Beard is the Head of the CSGV, formerly known as the National Coalition to Ban handguns.
"[We support] ban[ning] the manufacture, sale and possession of all handguns, except for police, military, licensed security guards and pistol clubs." Michael K. Beard, Testimony on behalf of the National Coalition to Ban Handguns in Support of 8-132 Before the Committee on the Judiciary 3 (Mar. 22, 1989) (transcript on file with the Tennessee Law Review); "
By 'Josh's' argument, the CSGV's primary goal is still the banning of handguns and now 'Assault Weapons'.

But their Comm. Dir., posting under 'GritsJr' argued vehemently against that stance:
"Looking at the actual citations on this Wikipedia page, the most recent thing they have with the Coalition calling for a handgun ban is from 1989 - more than 20 years ago.

Do you have any evidence that the Coalition has called for a national handgun ban since that time? And maybe real evidence this time, not a publicly edited encyclopedia.”
Now we see Ladd/Grits trying to attack NRA board members (since his numerous other libelous attack pieces have failed)
So which is it? Do actions and statements from over 20 years ago matter or not?

#1 rules for those who hate freedom: "If standards are good, double-standards are twice as good!"

There are rules for antis, and rules they want the rest of us to live under.

Importantly, he did not say that their stance has changed; merely that it was a dated and a less reliable source.

HE DID NOT CONFIRM/DENY THEIR STANCE. LYING BY OMISSION...

The question that we have to ask him is, "Does your organization CURRENTLY advocate for a complete ban of handguns, except for some certain authorized groups such as military, police, and security personnel?"
