AHSA Distorts Again

Colin Rogero, political director of the AHSA stated on their Facebook page:

AHSA is not supportive of the ban on .50 caliber rifles.

Apparently he's never checked out the AHSA website:

AHSA supports legislative efforts to regulate .50 caliber BMG sniper rifles in the same manner as machine guns are regulated under the provisions of the National Firearms Act of 1934.

So no new civilian manufacture, licensing, etc.

That's a ban by any other name. It's also the exact same position held by the VPC. Good company Ray.

"You don't want to sell me death sticks. (I don't want to sell you death sticks) You want to go home and rethink your life (I want to go home and rethink my life)."

"We don't want to regulate .50 cal's (they don't want to regulate .50 cal's).

The ASHA mind trick is at it again!

This is the typical weasel word obfuscation that we've come to know and love from the anti-liberty crowd.

"We don't want to BAN them, just regulate them to the point that only very few people can afford to own them."

We don't want to BAN ammunition, just make it so expensive that the common person can't afford it.

We don't want to BAN gun ownership, just make it so onerous, expensive and difficult that no one bothers with it.

They're not REALLY lying...they technically DON'T espouse banning (at this time), they're just being creative with the truth.

Not sure I agree with your title. For the AHSAholes to distort again, they would have to have stopped distorting sometime in the past. As far as I can tell, though, their entire existence has been characterized by nothing but non-stop distortion.

Just giving you a hard time--great work, as always.
