O-Day +1

--Beyond the already well established nominations of anti-gun fanatics to Obama's cabinet, we have another for the White House's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. One Cass Sunstein. He's an "Animal Rights Advocate" in the same vein as PETA to the point that he stated in his 2004 book, Animal Rights: Current Debates and New Directions:
"Animals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives ... Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients' behalf."
Yep, that's right. Animals should be able to sue.

What's his view on hunting? Well that should be obvious (video about 39 min in):
“We ought to ban hunting, I suggest, if there isn’t a purpose other than sport and fun. That should be against the law. It’s time now.”

Well that sure doesn't seem to be a position that supports hunters and sportsmen now does it?

I'm sure we'll hear criticism coming from the AHSA any day now. Ray?

Armed and Safe has more on this nutball.

--Treasury Secretary Nominee Geithner says he's sorry for not paying his taxes. I'm sure that would work for the rest of us. Right?

--Gitmo trials suspended along w/ any last minute Bush era regulations.

Well, here's how I feel about hunting: I see a deer, I see a HUGE cauldron of DEER CHILI!!

One would assume that reapportionment of congressional districts based on animal populations is not far behind!

"Sea Kittens", now this?

Building a bunker in my back yard is looking more and more inevitable.

I was wondering about the National Parks concealed carry thingie. Good to see it made it through in time.

Gotta go for now. Some lawyer wants to talk to me about yelling at my dog for eating cat turds.

Emotional damages, something something.

If they reapportion districts based on animal population, the pigeons win...

Just when I thought I'd heard everything, along comes a douchebag like this to open his cakehole.

New Hampshire hunters donate thousands of pounds of fresh meat to local food pantries every year.

Also, by his logic, should golf, ping pong, and ice hockey be banned next?

Well, I am on the opposite end of the spectrum, although not quite so extreme as to bring animals into court. I don't believe in hunting for sport, but I do understand that unfortunately it is a viable option for animals lacking natural predators. Makes me sad, but I guess that's life.
