One letter short of IDIOT

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDiOT) has shown they have no sense of humor. The township of Oak Lawn added slogans such as "and smell the roses" and "means that you aren't moving" to the bottom of 50 stop signs. They were cute. They were funny. They got people to pay attention to STOP signs. IDiOT couldn't have that so ordered them removed.

One commenter put it plainly:

Contrary to the appearance given in this story, the most efficient and vigilant IDOT certainly does have a sense of humor.

One need simply look at the condition of the roads in Illinois to discern how very madcap these folks can be.

That state's name isn't pronounced "ill annoy" for nothing.

When me and my wife dread driving through Illnios, in partcular Chicago, on our way to Michigan. Besides the tolls, the roads are awful.
