As his attorneys quit his impeachment case.

  1. Genson says that Blagojevich ordered him not to attend the trials or mount any defense, but that he had already decided for himself a few days ago. Makes you wonder when he was planning to get around to letting Rod know, but I still figure this is their halfhearted attempt to set up some kind of appeal. I don't think there is a legal appeal after impeachment and removal, but I wouldn't put it past Blagojevich to think he's going to end up with enough of the public on his side to have a career after this.
